How the comparison works

Every carrier's quote,
side by side, not one at a time.

Step 1
In the comparison flow

You enter three numbers

ZIP, age, and household type are enough to pull live pricing for every ACA, off-exchange, and supplemental plan sold in your area. No SSN, income documents, or credit pull required to see quotes.

Step 2
In the comparison flow

We query every carrier at once

Instead of visiting one carrier site at a time, our system checks live rates across 50+ direct carrier feeds plus the federal Marketplace, with your estimated subsidy applied to each.

Step 3
In the comparison flow

You see them side by side

Premiums, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and network notes for each carrier line up on the same screen, so you can see how carrier A stacks up against carrier B and C before deciding anything.

Step 4
In the comparison flow

You pick, or ask an agent first

Choose directly from the comparison, or ask a licensed agent in your state to walk through the trade-offs with you. Either way, you're comparing real quotes, not taking the first one offered.

Anatomy of one carrier's quote

Every line,
for every carrier,
next to each other.

Carrier brochures bury the numbers that matter - deductible vs. premium, Rx tiers, copay ladders, network depth. We line up this same breakdown for each carrier so you can see how they compare, not just what one is charging.

Six kinds of quote

Not all quotes are
the same question.

"What's cheapest?" and "Which plan keeps my oncologist?" are different problems. Pick the quote that matches your real question - and we'll build the comparison around it.

Most requested

Standard plan quote

You're shopping ACA and off-exchange health plans for the first time, or post-life-event. We rank every option in your ZIP and flag the 3 that actually match your usage profile.

  • Every metal tier in your ZIP
  • Subsidy auto-calculated
  • PPO / HMO / EPO split out
  • HSA-eligibility tagged
  • Doctor network cross-check
  • Rx formulary tier check

Subsidy audit

You're already enrolled but think you're overpaying. We re-price your current plan with this year's APTC tables and household changes, then show it next to a handful of other carriers so you can compare.

  • Current premium vs. true premium
  • APTC recalculation
  • Household-change re-score
  • Mid-year SEP eligibility
  • Tax-credit reconciliation flags
  • Switch-or-stay recommendation
Audit my subsidy ->
Doctor-first

Network match quote

Keeping your current doctors is non-negotiable. Send us the names - we only quote plans where every provider on your list is in-network, even if it costs more.

  • Doctor-by-doctor verification
  • Hospital system check
  • Specialist & lab inclusion
  • Pediatric / OB network match
  • Telehealth provider check
  • Direct carrier confirmation
Match my doctors ->
Bundle pricing

Triple-stack quote

Health + dental + vision priced together, then re-priced unbundled, so you see whether bundling actually saves you money or just locks you into worse networks.

  • Bundle vs. a la carte side-by-side
  • Combined annual max calc
  • Family vs. individual stacking
  • Standalone dental options
  • Vision allowance breakdown
  • Pediatric-included carve-outs
Stack my coverage ->
Gap coverage

Gap & supplemental quote

Your high-deductible plan leaves a $7K hole. We price accident, hospital indemnity, and critical-illness riders that pay cash directly to you - and show which gap they actually plug.

  • Accident & injury indemnity
  • Hospital admission cash benefits
  • Critical illness lump sums
  • Short-term disability options
  • Cancer-specific riders
  • Stacking with current health plan
Price the gaps ->
2-200 employees

Small group quote

You're a founder or HR lead pricing group benefits. We pull SHOP, ICHRA, and direct-carrier group quotes side by side, with employer contribution scenarios at 50% / 70% / 100%.

  • SHOP + ICHRA + direct compared
  • Employer contribution modeling
  • Census-based pricing
  • Composite vs. age-banded
  • Ancillary bundle (dental/vision/life)
  • Renewal-shock projections

What you get here
vs. what you get there.

Four head-to-heads against the two places most people get a single quote first - healthcare.gov and single-carrier quote tools.

How many quotes you see
Healthcare.gov shows on-exchange plans one at a time. A single-carrier quote tool shows exactly one price, with nothing to measure it against.
-> Multiple carriers - ACA, off-exchange, short-term, and supplemental - lined up on the same screen so you can compare them directly.
Subsidy accuracy
The marketplace estimates your subsidy from a single AGI guess, and getting it wrong can mean owing money back next tax season.
-> We show your estimated subsidy applied to each carrier's quote, so you can compare true out-of-pocket cost, not just sticker price.
Who you can ask for help
Captive agents who only sell one carrier. AI chatbots that can't read a benefits booklet. Call-center reps reading a script.
-> You can compare on your own, or ask a licensed broker in your state to review the comparison with you before you decide.
What happens to your info
Some lead-gen sites resell your contact information to many captive agencies, leading to a flood of unwanted calls.
-> Your comparison request is handled under our privacy policy, which discloses who it may be shared with. Deletable on request.
Illustrative examples

What a side-by-side
comparison can show.

These are illustrative examples of how comparing multiple carriers can play out, not verified customer testimonials. First names only, and results vary by ZIP, age, income, and the carriers available in your state - nothing here is guaranteed.

I only had one quote to look at until I ran it here. Seeing a second carrier's price for the same ZIP next to the first one made the choice a lot clearer.

Comparing quotes - FAQ

About comparing quotes.
Not generic insurance 101.

What we ask for, how the side-by-side comparison works, what we do with your data, and what makes comparing carriers here different from a single-quote tool.

ZIP, age, and household type. That's it to start. Once you submit, an optional second page asks for tobacco use, household income (for subsidy math), and the names of any doctors you want kept in-network. We never ask for SSN, driver's license, or credit info to show you comparison quotes.

A single-quote tool shows you what one carrier is charging. We pull pricing from carriers across your state and put several of them on the same screen, so you can see how their premiums, deductibles, and networks compare to each other before you pick anyone. You're comparing, not just accepting the first number you see.

If you ask for help, one licensed agent in your state may follow up, using the channel you picked (email, text, or call), to walk through the comparison with you. If you don't ask, you won't hear from us beyond the quotes themselves. No drip campaigns, no resold leads.

Your quote request may be shared with our listed marketing partners, who may contact you, as disclosed in our privacy policy. We don't sell your information to unrelated third parties. You can request deletion at any time via the privacy request page. See our privacy policy for the full legal detail.

No fee, no catch. We're licensed insurance brokers - carriers pay us a commission when you enroll, generally the same commission whether you buy through us or directly from them. Comparing quotes here costs you nothing.

That's fine. Plenty of comparisons end with someone deciding their current plan is still the best option, or with a life event resolving before a Special Enrollment Period closes. We don't pressure you or hold your comparison hostage. You keep access to what you compared either way.

Yes - request the triple-stack comparison on the products page. We'll show health, dental, and vision priced together (bundled) and separately (a la carte) side by side, so you can see which actually costs less. Supplemental and short-term plans can be added to either path.

That's our subsidy audit comparison. Send us your current carrier, plan name, and household income for this year. We re-price the same plan with current APTC tables and show it next to a handful of other carriers in the same network, so you can see the difference for yourself.

Pick the network match comparison. You send us the doctor names (or upload a screenshot of your contacts list). We only surface quotes where every named provider is verified in-network at the time of the comparison - checked against the carrier's live directory, not just the marketplace tool.

Maybe not. The list of qualifying events that open a Special Enrollment Period is longer than most people think - loss of coverage, marriage, divorce, birth, adoption, move, citizenship, household-income changes that affect subsidy eligibility, and more. Start a comparison anyway; you'll see whether you likely have an SEP.
